God is Faithful by Tonia Smith
The word faithful come from the Hebrew word "aman" and the Greek word "pistos". Both words communicate the idea of certainty or stability. An appropriate illustration would be a strong column that holds up the weight of a building or strong arms of a father that upholds and protects his helpless child. When the word faithful is used with regard to God, it means that He is worthy of absolute trust, and that His people can depend upon Him without doubt or reservation. It is important to understand that God is faithful, not because He does everything that His people desire, but because He does everything that He has promised.
Tonia lead us in scripture reading on these attributes of God:
God's unlimited power:Psalm 36:5, 100:5, 146:6, 135:5-6
God's covenants with us:Deuteronomy 7:9, 1 Kings 8:23-24
Words of God:Jeremiah 31:35-37, 33:20-21
He is faithful in all He does:Psalm 33:4
How we should trust in God:Psalm 31:14, Isaiah 26:4, Proverbs 3:5-6
His promises: Romans 4:20-21, Hebrews 11:6
How we should proclaim Him to All: Psalm 40:10, Jeremiah 17:5-8
There we a lot more we talked about but this is just to welt your desire to join us and hear the whole story.

Power of the Holy Spirit
Presented by Hope Niemier
How does God speak to us?
Old testament-In many ways: angels, visions, dreams, miraculous signs.
In the Gospels-Through His Son.
Book of Acts through the present day-Holy Spirit
God speaks by the Holy Spirit Through the Bible, prayer, circumstances, and the church to reveal Himself, His purposes, and His ways. (From 'Experiencing God' book)
Knowing God's voice-intimate love relationship with God.
Disobedience can lead to a 'famine of hearing the words of the Lord' (Amos 8:11-12)
Video: 'Holy Spirit' by Francis Chan
Questions Hope asked us to ponder:
How has the Holy Spirit impacted our lives?
Can someone who isn't a believer know by seeing your life that you follow Christ?
When was the last time you heard of non-Christians amazed by a gathering of believers?
How you ever seen something that can't be explained apart from the Holy Spirit?

We would like to welcome Gail Park this Tuesday evening. Gail will wrap up our series on "Sacred Marriage". Gail is the wife of Pat Park, the Pastor of Wawasee Heights Baptist Church. They have been married over 28 years I believe. Gail has agreed to answer our questions concerning how she has kept their marriage sacred over the years.

Happy New Year Seminary Wives!
We have finished putting together a whole new concept for meetings this semester. If you'll check out the calendar you will see that we will have two classes on the same topic. We've done this so one of our own can teach us on their favorite subject than we are having a Pastors wife come in as our guest speaker to tie together what we've just learned with their own experiences of life in the church.
We will still be meeting at 6:30pm Tuesdays
at Winona Lake Grace Breathern Church on
Kings Highway
We hope to see you there.
